Rydal L.C. Prilliman was born May 7, 1932, in Lamont, Okla., to Lewis and Anna (Day) Prilliman and was called home on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015. Memorial service for Rydal will be 10 a.m. today, Feb. 14, 2015, at Pond Creek United Methodist Church, with the Rev. George Lupton officiating and 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jerald Bushman officiating.
Rydal graduated from Lamont Senior High School and later attended Northern Oklahoma College, where he earned an associates degree in commerce.
He joined the U.S Army for a brief time before enlisting in the U.S. Navy, where he served as an electricians mate from 1951 to 1955.
He was married to Sally Ann Garrett of Billings, Okla., and later resided in Enid for the remainder of their marriage.
He was a staple in his community and everyone knew his name. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
He lived the last nine years of his life in Pond Creek, with his companion, Helga Hardin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Prilliman, and daughter, Deanna K. Foster.
Rydal is survived by his son, Rydal LeRoy Prilliman of Enid; granddaughter, Misty Long and husband Darren of Tulsa; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Rydal was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
