Verona "Lee" (Strickland) Price

Funeral services for Verona (Lee) Price are 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 4, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Nowata with Pastor Jeffrey Rickman officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Vansant Road Cemetery in Clinton, Missouri.

Lee Price, 89, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at her home in Nowata. She was born September 18, 1927 in Clinton, Missouri to Willis Eisner and Bertha (Hall) Strickland. Lee attended school in Clinton, Missouri. In 1976 she was married to Odie Price in Miami, Oklahoma. She worked as a caretaker caring for the sick and elderly. Lee enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Quilting Club at the First United Methodist Church as well as the United Methodist Women's Association. Lee also sewed, read, enjoyed puzzle books, and attended the Nowata Senior Citizens Center. Above all she loved her family. Her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, and other family had a special place in her heart and she loved them dearly. Lee will be missed by all who knew her.

Lee is survived by nine children, George E. "Mule" Schonherr Jr. and his wife Marty of Nowata, Oklahoma, Linda M. Modestino and husband Carmen of Yukon, Oklahoma, Willis Leroy Schonherr and wife Frankie of Nowata, Oklahoma, James R. Schonherr and wife Dorina of McLouth, Kansas, Keith W. Schonherr and wife Cassie of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Marietta Hollenshead and husband Waimone of Nowata, Oklahoma, Charles R. Schonherr of Nowata, Oklahoma, Ronda L. Privette and husband Jason of Nowata, Oklahoma, Ronald L. Price of Nowata, Oklahoma; step-children, Dennis Fry, Ed Fry, Billie Dee Enneking, Donnie Price, Janet Doman, Ray Price; siblings, Evelyn Gerit of Clinton, Missouri, eleven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, many other relatives and a host of friends.

Lee is preceded in death by her husband Odie Price; an infant son, Larry Schonherr; siblings, Lee Strickland, Tressie Strickland, Walter Strickland, Willis E. Strickland, JR., Eugene (Pete) Strickland, Elmer Strickland, Anna Wells, Cathrine Phillips, Elberta Wilson, Mayola Sappington; step children, Curtis Fry, Charlie Price.
