Thelma Jean Prewett, a resident of Atoka, Oklahoma, left this life in Durant, Oklahoma on December 22nd, 2018 at the age of 58. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 29th, 1960 to James Lewis Mason and Betty Furr (Bratton) Mason. Thelma married her beloved David Radford in Atoka, Oklahoma in August 2012.
Thelma was the Director for Choctaw Housing, she faithfully dedicated herself to the program’s success, earning many achievements in her 20+ years of service. She proud of her master’s degree in science from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Thelma enjoyed cooking for those she loved, sewing, spending time with her friends, and fishing.
Mrs. Prewett is survived by her husband, David Radford of Atoka, Oklahoma; step-son, Devin Radford; sister-in-law, Debbie Radford from Ft. Worth, Texas; Close friends: Rachelle Holder, Dana Church, Kari Smith, Ella Young and James Wallace. Boss; James Wallace. She also considered her team she worked with over the years as friends: Heather Prince, Tonja Smalling, Cindy Pickett, Casey Smith, Ashlie Miller, Gina Nassar. She also greatly appreciated the new comers of her team Tonya Samuel, Tracy Turner, and Kristy Gilpatrick, and all the maintenance men, from the Choctaw Nation.
Mrs. Prewett was preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Mason.
Family hour will be from 5-6:00 PM on Thursday December 27th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma. A celebration of her life will begin at 6:00 PM.
