Norma Faye Preston, 83, known as Mickie to her family and friends, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, OK. Mickie was the daughter of Dwight Walter McGinnis and Celia Goodpasture McGinnis. She was born on April 16, 1934 in Hennessey, OK.
Mickie graduated from Hennessey High School in 1952. Following graduation, she attended Oklahoma State University, where she met her future husband, Gerald. Mickie married Gerald Raymond Preston, Jr. on May 27, 1955 in Hennessey, OK.
Mickie was a long time resident of both Bartlesville, OK and Grand Lake, OK. Before her husband passed away, Mickie enjoyed playing golf with him and was active in various women's golf leagues. She also enjoyed playing bridge with friends.
Mickie was preceded in death by her parents and husband Gerald, her brother, Delbert McGinnis, her sister, June Sturgeon, and her granddaughter, Meredith Leigh Williams.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Joe Williams of Kansas City, a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Elaine Preston of Modesto, CA, two granddaughters, Erin E. Williams of Kansas City, and Gretchen A. Williams of Oxford, MS.
In keeping with Mickie's wishes, private services will be held. Those who wish to remember Mickie in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Brighter Living Services with Elder Care, 1223 Swan Drive, Bartlesville, OK 74006
