Cecelia (Ceal) WalkingSky Preslopski, 76, went to be with the Lord on Saturday March 11th, 2023 in Dallas, TX.
Ceal was second born to Owen and Pearl (White) WalkingSky in Pawnee, Oklahoma. She is the descendent of Chieftainship from both sides of her family; Woolsey WalkingSky of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma and Corbett White of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Oklahoma. She was an enrolled member of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe and a proud descendant of the Ponca Tribe.
She was a 1964 graduate of Ponca City High School and then attended Oklahoma Women’s College for two years. She moved to Dallas to work a summer job and made it home for the rest of her life. In 1966 she met Al Preslopski. They were married in 1967 at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Ponca City, OK. They had 2 children, daughter Michelle Preslopski Ruslavage of Nashville, TN and son Michael Preslopski of Dallas, TX.
She is survived by her husband Al Preslopski of the Dallas, TX; daughter Michelle (Rob) of Nashville, TN; son Michael of the Dallas, TX; 5 grandchildren Catherine, Nicole, Mason, Andrew and Aiden; sisters Dorothea BlueBack of Ponca City, OK & Kay WalkingSky of Durango, CO. Brothers Preston (Jewel) WalkingSky of Ponca City, OK & Woolsey (Marilyn) WalkingSky of Royce, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Pearl WalkingSky; grandparents Woolsey & Cecelia (Warrior) WalkingSky and Corbett & Ruth (Vetter) White; one sister at birth Vera WalkingSky; and two brothers Alexander Owen WalkingSky & Corbett WalkingSky.
Visitation is on Friday, March 17, from 10am to 4:00pm at the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Cultural Center in Red Rock, OK. A traditional noon meal will be served. Gary (Chink) Whitecloud will perform services and prayers will be done by Louis Headman. Pallbearers are Owen Hawzipta, Alex Hawzipta, Michael Preslopski, Rob Ruslavage, Jeremy Ward, Roman Ward, and Cory Collins. Honorary pallbearers: Preston WalkingSky, Will WalkingSky, Jośe Moreno, Woolsey Hawzipta.
