William "Bill" Henry Pratt died on Sept 4, 2017, in Memphis, TN, at the age of 87.
He was born on May 24, 1930, in Tulsa, OK to Herbert and Ruth (Schmitz) Pratt. Graduated from Central High School in Tulsa OK, May 1949. Joined the Army in 1951 and honorably discharged in 1954, primarily stationed in Fort Bragg Military Reservation, NC. Married Janice Mildred Bigart on June 5, 1954, in Berwick, PA.
Bill and Jan then moved to Stillwater OK where he attended Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University) receiving a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine degree in May 1959. Following Bill's graduation, the family moved to Bartlesville, taking over a local veterinary practice. Bill closed his practice in 1980. He and Jan then moved to Stillwell OK, Huddleston VA and finally Pyatt AR. His wife Janice passed away in July 2001.
He is survived by two daughters, Meredith (Jim) Meehan of Coarsegold, CA and Susan Iverson of Germantown, TN and one son, Adam (Reva) Pratt of Bartlesville, OK along with four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Private family services were held.
