Donald Wayne Powers passed away October 28, 2009. He was born October 7, 1937 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Daisy [Tyler] and Clarence Powers.
He was a wonderful husband, a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather who was loved throughout his life..
He was a barber in Bakersfield for 43 years, his love, humor and laughter will be missed by all who had the pleasure of spending time with him..
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and first wife of 49 years, Bonnie Sue (2006). He met and married Wilma Fay [Pierce] who will miss him immensely; daughters, Tina, Terri, Lori and Karen; his only son, David; 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one on-the-way who will never have the opportunity to meet him on earth, but knows him in spirit; 2 sisters and 3 brothers along with many friends and numerous acquaintances..
A 1:00 p.m. graveside service will be held for Donald Wayne Powers, age 72, of Bakersfield, on Monday, Nov. 2, at South Kern Cemetery District's (Arvin) outdoor chapel..
