Sondra Wynell (White) Power

Sondra Wynell (White) Power
January 29, 1946 ~ February 14, 2021

Sondra Wynelle Power, a resident of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on February 14, 2021 in Prague. Sondra was 75 years old when she passed away after a very short battle with cancer. As of Valentine’s Day 2021, she is now in Heaven with her one true love, her husband, Hugh Power.

Sondra was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on January 29, 1946, to Alson and Lavon White. She was the youngest of four children.

Sondra worked as a draftsman for most of her life. She worked a short time at the Crystal Bridge in Oklahoma City before working in ground maintenance, for the city of Oklahoma City, at Will Roger’s World Airport. It did not take long for her talents to be seen. While at Will Roger’s, she was commissioned to paint a hall length mural in the new part of the airport. During her time working at the airport, Sondra was moved from ground maintenance to planning and development in which she retired.

One of Sondra’s passions was art. She loved to paint for people she cared about, and through her talents, you could see her soul. Sondra will be most remembered for her voice. She sang most of her life, and with her group, “From the Heart” for several years. She sang “Amazing Grace” in her own flavor, very soulful and bluesy. She had the voice of an angel, and Heaven’s choir has now acquired one of the most authentic and beautiful people in this world.

Sondra was very caring and wanted nothing more than to help her family, church family, people in the community, and others in need.

Sondra was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Power; her parents; and two brothers, Roger, and Bobby Gene.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Verta Ledbetter; Three children, Anthony Ray Neely, Sonja Dubrow, and Ella LaDawn Lane; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren, with one on the way. She loved and was proud of everyone!
