Services for Billy Wayne Potts, 23 of Vale, an employee of the Malheur County Sheriff's Department who died Friday, October 18, 1968 of an apparent heart attack, were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church of Vale by the Rev. Richard Scott.
Mr. Potts was born October 21, 1944 in Phoenix, Arizona.
He moved to Ontario and later to Vale where he attended schools.
He was employed by the Vale Hotel for several years and later by the Sheriffs office.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Theo Stacey; John Day, Oregon; father, Stanley Potts, Clarkston, Washington; three sisters, Mrs. Darlene Allen and Betty Potts, both of Vale; and Mrs. Patricia Ann Johnson, Riverside, Oregon; and a brother Gene Potts of Riverside.
Interment was at Valley View under direction of Hight Chapel of Vale, Oregon.
