Ruth (Walkingstick) Potter

July 8, 1930 ~ July 18, 2006

Ruth N. Potter, 76, California, MO passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at her home near California, MO.

She was born July 8, 1930 in Stilwell, OK., the daughter of Thomas and Cora Mae Cochran Walkingstick who preceded her in death.

She was married July 9, 1950 in Denver, CO., to Hugh H. Potter who passed away April 18, 1990.

Survivors include 2 sons, Calvin Potter and his wife, Debra of Clarksburg, MO., and Larry Potter and his wife, Debra of Catoosa, OK; 2 daughters, Florene Rowles and her husband, Elmer of Tipton, MO and Norma Wood and her husband, Dwayne of California, MO; 2 brothers, David Walkingstick of Claremore, OK and Wade Walkingstick and his wife, Mary of Chelsea, OK; 2 sisters, Mary Adair and her husband, Bob of Westville, OK and Joyce Brashear of Siloam Springs, AR; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Faye Thompson and Kaye Unger and 1 great granddaughter.

Services will be held at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Service, Friday, July 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.

Officiating will be Rev. Mike Miller. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.
