Rayce Glen Posey was born September 18, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to PJ and Alysia (Hand) Posey. He passed away July 9, 2021 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 5 years, 9 months, and 21 days.
Rayce attended preschool in Merritt where he loved his classmates and friends. He loved baseball and was on the Merritt Oiler t-ball team. He loved to go fishing and ride in the tractor. He was content to spend hours on end just playing in the dirt. Rayce had a fascination with turtles of all kinds and was known to bring them in the house oftentimes to share with his family.
He is survived by his parents PJ and Alysia Posey of the home, his brothers, Aaron, Olen and Taylor Posey; his sisters, Ky'Trene Ashley and McKale Posey; maternal grandparents, JD and Elaine Hand, maternal great grandmother, Annette Ralston; paternal grandparents, Larry and Charolett Posey; aunts, Delisa Pshigoda, Mikaela Smith and husband, Tad, Cordly Wilhite and husband, Thomas, Gale and Bobby Barnhart, special friends, Tony McPherson, Quincy Monroe, Nicole New, Cleatus and Leslie Shawn, Brandy Shaw, cousins, Jeffrey Pshigoda, Hattie Smith, Berkley Smith, Kylie Posey, MacKenzie Waggner, Krista Alcorta, Toby and Tanner Wilhite, Alexus Orrin, Micheal Gray, Alexis, Hannah, Amelia, Kotton, Dannielle Shawn, along with so many special friends and family that he loved, Fancy Nancy, Bubba, Granny and Pa, Billy, Cody, Harper James, Sugar and Pops, Mrs. Gordon and family, Mrs. Shannon, Derek Kraft, Harper Beggs, and Bradley Schortemeier along with a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by great grandparents, Olen Hand, Virgil Dake,
John and Jeannie Sutton, Nelson Ralston, Paul D and Ruby Estell Ogletree,
James Posey and Linda Ridgeway.
