DUMAS - Larry Eugene Pope, 55, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Stribling, pastor of Hunt Memorial United Methodist Church of Dumas, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Mr. Pope was born June 24, 1946, in Elk City, Okla. He married Tonda Rose on April 12, 1968, in Beaver, Okla. He had lived in Dumas since 1969. He worked in the parts department at Dumas Implement for 18 years. He had been a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge No. 3956 of Dumas since 1987.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shanna Jo Pope, in March 1972.
Survivors include a wife, Tonda Pope of the home; a son, Shane Pope of Corinth; three sisters, Reta Britton of Elk City, Okla., Arleva McClellan of Farmington, N.M., and Wyona Sparlin of California; and a granddaughter, Courtney Shipp of Mineral Wells.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720, or the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge No. 3956, 314 E. First, Dumas TX 79029.
The family will be at 604 Elm in Dumas.
