Charles Grady Poor was born July 15, 1942 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life peacefully to be with our Lord on May 10, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 25 days.
Grady went to grade school at Oak Grove and then graduated from Stilwell High School. He worked as a roofer for over 35 years to provide for his family. He could name any house he ever roofed. He was married to Sue Rich on January 15, 1962 and to this union 2 children were born; Dewayne and Donna. He had many hobbies over the years to include bowling, fishing, horse racing and OU football. He loved family gatherings and Christmas was his favorite. He loved giving family nicknames and many of them had one.
He was preceded in death by his mom; Maudie Ward and grandparents; Pearl and John Poor.
Grady is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Sue Poor of the home, children; Dewayne Poor and wife Billie of OKC, OK, Donna Lowery of Stilwell, OK, grandchildren; Joshua Gallaway and wife Chatman of Okay, OK, Johnny Lowery and wife Jasmine of Sallisaw, OK, Justin Lowery and wife Emily, Jacob Lowery and wife Shalynn, Jesse Lowery all of Stilwell, OK. great grandchildren; Keely, Jaxon, Jordyn, Allie and Harleigh Gallaway, Lydia and Charlee Lowery, Raiden and Sawyer Lowery, brother; Lenard Poor and wife Geneva, sisters; Judy Barfield and husband Bob all of Stilwell, OK, Sandy Reese and husband Danny of Tahlequah, OK, Sue Hensley, Carlene Kelley and husband Gary all of Stilwell, OK, sisters in law; Wanda, Kay, Judy, Francis and husband James, Neva and husband Roy, Phyllis and husband Rick, two special cousins; Carolyn Kramer and Kathleen Linam, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends also survive him.
Memorial services will be held, Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at New Life Church with Pastor Max Ford officiating.
