Kenneth Simeon Poindexter was born September 16, 1914 in Crawford, Oklahoma. He was the son of Martin and Nellie Poindexter.
Kenneth passed away on May 12, 1996, at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 27 days.
On June 1, 1941, he married Juanita V. McVey and they had three sons.
He is survived by his lovely wife of 55 years, Juanita Poindexter of Pittsburg, California; and three sons, Jim Poindexter of Antioch, California; John Poindexter of Fresno, California; Gary Poindexter of Hesperia, California; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Beulah Pyeatt of Pampa, Texas; one brother, Elgin Poindexter of Rogers, Arkansas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.
Kenneth worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 35 years.
After he retired from the railroad his hobby was making fishing rods and lures. He enjoyed showing others how to make the lures as well.
Burial in Sanger cemetery, Fresno, California.
