Richard Gregory Plavchak age 42 of Purcell, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 in Purcell. Greg was born June 22, 1976 in Norman. He was the youngest of five children born to George Richard Plavchak and Vicky Lynn (Norton) Plavchak.
Greg grew up in Lexington and attended Lexington Schools graduating Valedictorian of his senior class of 1994. While in high school, Greg played football, was president of Student Council and a member of the National Honor Society. After high school, Greg attended Tulsa University for one semester, then moved his enrollment to the University of Oklahoma where he later graduated with a Sociology Degree.
On Jan. 28, 1997, Greg married Jan Dunn of Lexington. Together they raised two sons, Ethan and Evan and made their home in Purcell. While in college, Greg worked at Joseph Harp. After receiving his degree he worked a short time for Farmers Insurance as a claims Supervisor. He then worked seven years for World Comm as a Light Wave Tester. From 2007 to 2015 he worked for Verizon Wireless. For the past two years he has worked for Ciena Corporation as a Global Product Support Specialist.
Greg worked hard to support his family. They were important to him and he loved spending time with his boys. He also enjoyed playing golf, he always looked forward to traveling and he was an avid reader.

Gina Parks and husband John of Norman,
Patty Plavchak of Wayne,
Julie Brown of Lexington;
Mother-in-law,
Lou Dunn of Lexington;
Many nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and a
host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel.
