Milton Pitts, age 76 of Wayne, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017. Milton was born June 20, 1941 in Lawton, OK, the 2nd of 6 children born to Doyle B. Pitts and Charlie Marie (Thomas) Pitts. He was raised in Wanette and attended Wanette High school, graduating in 1960.
On June 10th, Milton married his sweetheart, Miss Julia Alene Cagle. They started their life together in Wanette. Together they raised 3 children, son, Terry and daughters, Karry and Kimberly. Milton owned and operated several gas stations and raised cattle. His true passion however was flying. Milton was an accomplished pilot, and his love for flying became his life work. For more than 38 years, he served area farmers as a crop duster with locations at Wanette and Altus Oklahoma. When not flying, he traded his plane for his Harley, as he loved both the freedom of the open skies and the open road. He lived his life to the fullest. In June of 2000 Milton and Judy relocated to their present home near Wayne, Oklahoma. Milton was devoted to his family and friends. Milton cherished Julia, his son and daughters, his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his four legged fur baby Petey. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by: His son, Terry Pitts and His parents, Doyle B. and Charlie Marie Pitts.
Milton is survived by: The love of his life, wife Julia of the home; His girls, Karry and Bill Raines of Norman and Kimberly Albert of Washington; Brother, Bradley Pitts of Wanette; 4 sisters, Wynelle Long and husband Don of Council Hill, OK, Elaine Wood of OKC, Peggy Coulter and husband Guy of Midwest City; Anita Skaggs and husband Ray of Tulsa; 4 grandchildren, Randi Bennett and husband Brandon of Washington, Eric Albert and wife Heather of Goldsby, Justin Albert of Washington and Cody Pitts of Slaughterville; 7 great grandchildren, Brant, Kacie, Karlie, Shelbie, Tate, Trinity and Kynslee; A host of nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel.
