Memorial Services for Ms. Nora Evannah Pittman, 43, of Sardis, Mississippi (formerly of Connerville, Oklahoma) will be held on Friday, May 18th, at 6:00 p. m. in the Clark Funeral Chapel in Tishomingo, Oklahoma with Brother Tony Poe officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. Ms. Pittman passed away on May 12th, at her home.
Nora was born on February 13th, 1969 in Tishomingo to Roger Pittman and Joan Lee (Goodwin) Pittman. She graduated from McLish High School and received her associates degree in accounting from Murray State College in Tishomingo. She had served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard for 11 years, and recently completed a tour of duty in Afghanistan.
She was preceded in death by a nephew, Alton Wayne Lowe.
Nora is survived by two sons, Gregory Kent Shields and Kayle Thomas (OZ)Shields, both of Connerville; her parents, Roger and Joan Pittman; her brother, Bland Pittman and two sisters, Johnna LeAnn Dickson and Polly Ann Hammond, all of Connerville; her companion, Dean Coleman of the home and numerous other relatives, friends and fellow soldiers.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: Joe Pittman, Rusty Pittman, Jerry Walker, Miles Pittman, Jacob Pittman, Mark Poe, Nicky Walker, Zeke Walker, Garrett Yeargan, Taylor Pittman, Michelle Proctor, Jessie Hamilton, Cody Poe, Marvin Dickson, and Jennifer Poe.
