Harry Pittman, 73 year old Woodward resident, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at his home. A family service will be held at a later date with military honors. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Harry Lee Pittman was born on August 24, 1949 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Harry Leander and Julia Elizabeth (Hayes) Pittman. Harry grew up in Gage and attended and graduated from Gage High School. He was united in marriage to Sanzee Wanger and they were blesssed with four children.
Harry was inducted into the United States Navy and served his country during Vietnam, serving two tour of duties. He helped with two Apollo Recovery Missions, serving all throughout the United States and Japan. After his retirement from the Navy he lived in Pennsylvania and Columbus, Ohio before settling in Woodward in 2018.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara Pittman and one brother.
