Vonnie Pippin

Jan. 8, 1935 ~ July 20, 2002

 Vonnie Pippin, 67, of Amarillo died Saturday, July 20, 2002.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with Scott Greer, pastor of the church, officiating. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.

Mrs. Pippin was born in Durant, Okla., on Jan. 8, 1935. She was married to Lloyd Pippin in September 1978 in Amarillo. She was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She had been a member of the Town Club until recently and was past president of the Geological Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tuesday Chapman, in 1995; and a grandson, Cash Chapman.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Monda Daniel of Friona and Lynne Ayllon of San Antonio; a son, Allen Pippin of Amarillo; three sisters, Dorotha Adams of Burneyville, Okla., Judy Bolen of Denison and Gene Nelson of Fremont, Calif.; two brothers, E.M. Wright of Seminole and Franklin Wright of Denison; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.
