Jesse Thomas Pinkston, age 79, gained his wings on September 20, 2017 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He was born February 7, 1938 in Fort Smith Arkansas. Jesse Pinkston was a son, a brother, a father, a friend and so much more.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Jones and Ava Jean Wilson. a brother, Joe Pinkston, and several nieces and nephews. During his long life he married his first wife Bernice Pinkston, he later married Juanita Cary.
Jesse was blessed with six kids and three step kids. Jimmy Pinkston, Jennifer Fannin, Terry Graham, Jesse Earl Pinkston, Iris Pack and Liza Pinkston, Suzie Petree, Johnny and William Cary.
Jesse has eighteen grand kids, James Pinkston, Sheena Holscher, Jacob Pinkston, Jerzee Pinkston, Jessica Fannin, Jordan Fannin, Sarah Dunn, Renee Chiu, Joshua Graham, Kenna Pinkston, Savannah Boerjan, Ariel, Pinkston, Dakota Pinkston, Shelby and Jesse Pack, Jimmy Petree, Jaden Petree and Jacklyn Petree. Jesse was also, blessed with eight great grand kids.
Jesse graduated from Pocola high school. He spent seven years in the service as an Aircraft Electronic Navigation Equipment Repairman of the U.S Airforce. His life took him in many different directions. His favorite to mention and he would gladly tell anyone "he helped to put the man on the moon."
Jesse Pinkston was a man of many talents who lived a long interesting life. He had a great love for gardening, enjoyed being outside, mechanics (although some was questionable), and spending time with family. Jesse Pinkstonwas loved by so many people.
On behalf of our dad Jesse we'd like to thank his hospice nurses, who during his last few months showed so much kindness, generosity and warmth and that it helped bring peacefulness to our hearts.
Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Friday September 29, 2017 at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Mallory- Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.
