James L. Pine, 61, of Maud, Oklahoma passed from this life Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Shawnee.
He was born December 1, 1957 to Frank J. and Louise (Bowers) Pine in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
James was raised in the Shawnee area and attended Shawnee Public Schools. He went on to lay his roots and raise a family in the Tecumseh community.
He married his first and only love, Rita Yones, on February 12, 1976 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
James was a member of Tecumseh First Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, and shooting with family. He spent many hours working on tractors and vehicles with his sons. Lately you could find him spending quality time with his wife who he was madly in love with and watching his grandchildren's sporting events.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank J. Pine; and 2 brothers, Frank Pine, Jr. and Tom Pine.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of nearly 43 years, Rita A. Pine of the home; 4 sons and 1 daughter, James F. and Stacy Pine of Kingfisher, OK, Eddie Klepacki of Jones, OK, Jacob and Tiffany Pine of Tecumseh, OK, Jeremiah and Paige Pine of Choctaw, OK, and Jaime Pine of Maud, OK; 9 grandchildren, Conner and Easton Pine, Annabelle and Isabella Pine-Chapline, Kayedence, Kaseon James and Kyler Pine, and Landry and Carter Klepacki; his mother, Louise Pine of Eufaula, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2019 with family gathering to greet friends and family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Tecumseh First Baptist Church with Brother Tony Peak officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
