William Acie Pierce, Sr., 86, passed away December 31, 2011.
William was born November 18, 1925 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Daniel and Nancy (Davis) Pierce.
He served our country proudly in the United States Army during WWII. He was awarded European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon with 2 bronze stars, good conduct medal, army OCC medal Germany, victory ribbon and 2 overseas service bars. He retired after 22 years as a parts specialist for Civil Service at Tinker Air Force Base. He was a member of the DAV, VFW and American Legion.
Survived by wife: Retta of the home, son: William (Bill) A. Pierce, Jr., of Edmond, daughter Barbara A. Shrago and husband Stan of Nichols Hills, OK, and a grand dog.
