Richard D. Pierce

Richard D. Pierce
February 20, 1943 ~ August 25, 2014

Richard D. Pierce, Duncan, was born February 20, 1943 in Chino, California to Berton and Thelma [Davis] Pierce. He passed away August 25, 2014 at the age of 71. No memorial services are planned at this time.

Richard enlisted in the Army and served in Korea.

After leaving the Army, he became a truck driver, with the CB handle of 'Dusty'. He loved being on the road and driving his truck. After his truck driving career he enjoyed repairing and doing maintenance for others.

Richard married Barbara Allen in Wichita Falls, TX on March 25, 1967. He was very proud of his children and grandson and enjoyed spending time with them. He was proud to be a citizen of Duncan for over 47 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Berton and Thelma and a daughter, Jana Slaughter.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Barbara Allen-Pierce, of the home; children, Craig A. Pierce and Linsey Renyer and husband Chris, all of Duncan; grandchildren, Gage Pierce of Duncan and Amber Slaughter of Texas; siblings, Claudia Johnson and husband Dave of Commerce, OK, William Pierce and wife Linda of Northport, AL; nieces, Michelle and Melissa, both of AL; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen Allen and husband Charles of Duncan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their spouses of Duncan. He also has numerous nieces and nephews of the Duncan area and many friends.
