Mary Elizabeth Hinton Pierce, age 83 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away January 9, 2016 in Guthrie. She was born on September 10, 1932 in Laurel Mississippi to Floyd and Lucy (Wilkinson) Hinton.
Mary married Lyndul Lee Pierce on June 16, 1953 in Colorado. She had lived in Guthrie since 1996 and previously lived in Oklahoma City. She was employed at Lucent Technology for 20 years and retired in 1996. Mary was a member of Sunlife Broadcasting Church. She was a seamstress and enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Survivors include her daughter Lynda LeAnn Ledington and husband Donnie of Guthrie, 2 granddaughters, Shana Lea Henning of Las Vegas, NV and Sheri Lyn Huddleston and husband Duane of Norfolk, VA. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Elysia, Elizabeth, Elexis and Erik, and numerous other family members in Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyndul in 1996, her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Mobil, Alabama. Arrangements by Hayes Funeral Home.
