A celebration of life for Larry Richard Pierce, Sr., 74, of Enid will be held on Saturday September 9, 2017, at 416 N. Imo Road, Enid, OK, at 1:00 p.m. Cremation services are being provided by Amy Stittsworth Funeral Services.
Larry was born June 2, 1943, in Waynoka, OK to Eldred A. Pierce and Eula Mae (DeVilbiss) Pierce and passed away at home on August 26, 2017. Larry grew up and attended school in Waynoka, OK.
He married his first wife, Linda Sherry Rowland, in 1960 and had one son born of that marriage. He later married LaDonna (Koehn) Pierce on April 1, 1965, and four children were born of that marriage.
Larry worked as a flight line mechanic at Vance Air Force Base before retiring. He took great pride in being a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Larry was an avid fan of OU football and enjoyed attending and watching games with his family. He also enjoyed playing golf with his friends and brothers after his retirement.
He is survived by three brothers, Ross, Colin, and Gary; two sisters: Eula Mae and Merl Ann; his second wife, LaDonna (Koehn) Pierce; two sons: Robert Pierce of Orlando and Larry Pierce, Jr. and wife, Ziza of Norman; three daughters: Tammy Snow and husband Richard of Orlando, LaDonna Roundtree, Jr. and husband Kenny of Cleo Springs, and Karla Alvarez of Enid; 8 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eldred and Eula Pierce; two brothers Gene and Karol, and three sisters Shirley, Dixie, and Sue.
