Guy Russell Pierce, 75, of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at his home.
He was born June 9, 1944 to Joe and Leva (Burgess) Pierce in Wolf, Oklahoma.
Guy was raised south of Seminole in the Wolf area and attended Wolf and Pleasant Grove Schools.
He married Melinda Hilton on May 10, 1970 in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Guy worked in the oilfield most of his life. He loved picking the guitar, fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jackie Denise Veach; 2 granddaughters, Amber Dawn and Arley Jean Podest; his parents, Joe and Leva Pierce; 7 sisters, Louise Vible, Opal Onieta Pierce, Zete May Pierce, Betty Jean Pierce, Ruthie Pierce, Margie L. Stidman, and Argie Ree Parson; 3 brothers, Leslie J. Pierce, Billy Joe Pierce and James Walter Pierce.
Survivors include his wife, Melinda Pierce of the home; son, Gregory Shannon Pierce of Maud, OK; 8 grandchildren, Shelby Pierce-Henson, Shaylon Pierce, Skyler Schroder, Megan Schroder and Dyman Norton, Sharley Huff, Eldon Veach and Dalton Veach; 3 great-grandchildren, Raelyn Schroeder, Bryxton Norton and Layla Pierce; 1 sister, Joe Ann Ring of Shawnee, OK; and other extended family and friends.
No formal services will held. Cremation arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
There will be no viewing.
