Crystal Mae (Bennett) Pierce

Aug. 23, 1915 ~ Feb. 14, 2004

Crystal Mae Bennett Pierce died in Woodland on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at age 88.

Born Aug. 23, 1915, in Atkins, Ark., Mrs. Pierce was the six of nine children of the late Caleb Nathan and Hattie Sherrill Bennett. She grew up in Vian, Okla., and graduated from high school there often riding to school on a horse. She married Loren (Whitey) Pierce of Gore, Okla., on May 17, 1936. She was a member of the New Testament Church.

Survivors include her son, Norris Harrold Pierce; daughter, Lorena Sherrill Moutter; sister, Leona Reimer; five grandchildren and their spouses; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Loren (Whitey) Pierce, in Dec. 25, 1983; and son, James N. Pierce.

Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland. Services: Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 20, at McNary's Chapel, with the funeral service commencing at the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.
