August Edward Pierce, beloved infant son of Dr. Justin Wade and Ashley (Winfree) Pierce, Sr. of Shawnee, Oklahoma was born and called to be home with our Lord on Friday, January 31, 2020. God blessed him with forty million ardent heartbeats while he grew loved and secure inside his mother. He was born at 31 weeks.
Those left to cherish August’s sweet memory are his parents, Dr. Justin and Ashley Pierce, Sr.; two brothers, Justin Pierce, Jr. and Levi Pierce; one sister, Madeline Pierce; grandparents, Roland and Debbie Anderson of Orange, TX, Danny Winfree of Houston, TX, David and Maxine Boudreaux of Bridge City, TX and Stuart and Lorraine Pierce of Tyler, TX; great-grandparents, Don and Dorothy Winfree of Orange, TX and Dennis and Dora Stevenson of Tyler, TX; and other extended family and friends.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Shawnee Presbyterian Church with Reverend Matt Wiley officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
The Pierce family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at OU Children’s Hospital for their incredible care of August and Ashley. They would also like to express their appreciation for all of the prayers, condolences, and acts of kindness extended during this time.
