Debra Pickens, age 54 of Purcell, passed away Monday June 15, 2015. Debra Lynn Boiles was born August 1, 1960, the only daughter of 4 children of James J. Boiles and Jean (Guthrie) Boiles. Debra was raised in Pauls Valley and attended Pauls Valley Schools. At a very young age, she married Gerald Don Thompson, and to this union, 3 daughters, Misty, Brandy and Amanda were born. For many years, Debra worked in health care as a CNA in various nursing homes in the area. She dedicated her life to caring for others. In 2005, Debra was forced to retire after a back injury limited her physical abilities. She cherished her family and especially her 9 grandchildren. Debra later met David Pickens and they spent many happy years together. And eventually, on August 16, 2013, David and Debra were united in marriage in Purcell. Debra loved spending time in the great outdoors and looked forward to family camping trips at the lake. She was a vibrant soul and will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her father, James �Jim� Boiles and Her brother, Terry Boiles in February of 2015.

Debra leaves behind: Her husband, David Pickens of Purcell; 3 daughters, Misty Elam of Hereford, TX, Brandy Thompson of Blanchard and Amanda Thompson of Blanchard; Her mother, Jean Boiles of Chickasha; 2 brothers, Brian Boiles of Edmond and David Boiles of Chickasha; Step son, Ryan Pickens of Emporia, KS; 9 grandchildren, Kassidy, Randy, Mackinze, Mikey, Ty, Macie, Ethan, Noah and Hannah and A host of other family and friends.

Private Memorial Services are scheduled for a later time.
