Billy Gene Pickens, Jr.

June 10, 1953 ~ June 12, 2017

Memorial services for Billy Gene Pickens, Jr., 64, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Chickasaw Community Center in Ada. Mr. James Miller will officiate.

Mr. Pickens passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at an Ada hospital.

He was born June 10, 1953 in Claremore to Billy Gene and Opal Lewis Pickens. He graduated from Latta High School.

He married Charlotte "Charly" Rogers April 15, 1987 and renewed their vows January 24, 2010. Mr. Pickens was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte, of the home; his father, Billy G. Pickens, Sr. of Stonewall; two daughters, Sandi Bohannon and husband John of Earlsboro and Brittany Pickens of Ada; a son, Patrick Pickens of Shawnee; a daughter-in-law, Tasha Pickens of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Velma Seeley and husband Bernie of Pontotoc and June Sellers and husband Jim of Shawnee; half-sister, Patty Pickens of Stonewall; nine grandchildren, Kaitelyn Bohannon, Lucky Bohannon, Chance Bohannon, Nicholas Pickens, Shane Pickens, Zanden Howard, Derek Cooper, Devin Cooper and Kadence Cooper; an honorary daughter, April Cooper of Ada; an honorary son, James Snell of Fittstown; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Pickens; a sister, Johnnie Sellers; and a half-brother, Bobby Pickens.
