ENID, OK - Funeral for Gary Eugene Phipps, 69, will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tom Pullin officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Gary was born to Golden and Naomia (Montcastle) Phipps on Aug. 6, 1943, in rural Ames and passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013, in Enid.

Gary grew up in Ames and graduated from Ames High School. He then attended vo-tech and Enid Business College.

On Sept. 4, 1965, Gary married Mary Lou Wickham in Enid.

He worked at Security National Bank as a teller, Champlin Oil, Bass & Sons Construction, and then St. Mary?s Hospital.

Gary and Mary enjoyed square dancing and were members of Levis & Lace Square Dance Club. He was also a member of North Enid Lions Club and CB Radio Club.

Gary is survived by wife, Mary of the home; children, Darrell Phipps and wife Jessica and Sandee Ward and husband Marshall, all of Enid; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Dean.
