Manuel Phillips Sr.

Oct. 26, 1935 ~ Nov. 25, 2014

Manuel Phillips Sr., resident of Enid, Okla., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at his home in Enid. He was 79.

A funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at First Missionary Baptist Church, 467 E. Owen K. Garriott Rd., Enid. Apostle John Bradley will officiate. Arrangements are under direction of Grant & Owens Mortuary, Ardmore.

Manuel was born Oct. 26, 1935, to George and Mollie Phillips in Dover, Okla.

He worked several years at Champlin Oil Co., Union Equity Wheat Co., and St. Mary�s Hospital.

He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, watching soap operas, eating at Golden Corral and completing crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his son and son's wife, Manuel Phillips Jr. and Kimberly Phillips; his grandchildren, Shekinah Phillips and Manuel Phillips III; his stepchildren, Timothy, Michael, and Gregory Richardson; his brother, Nathaniel Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mollie Phillips; his sister, Hazel Phillips; and his brothers, Sylvester, Sherman, Amos and Jean.
