Durant, OK- Jimmy Don Phillips, 70, passed from this life on Friday, August 8, 2025 in Denison, Texas. Jimmy was born on Monday, September 13, 1954 in Durant, Oklahoma to James Wilson Phillips and Dora Jean (Roberts) Phillips.
Jimmy is a lifelong resident and graduate of Durant High School. He married the love of his life, Leah Hargrave, on October 22, 1983. Jimmy was employed with Indian Nation Wholesale as Vice President of Sales where he spent over 31 years of loyalty to the company.
Jimmy enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching OU football, spending time with family and friends, cooking for an ‘army’, and watching all sports, especially softball.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Goldie and George Phillips; his parents, James and Dora Jean Phillips; a brother, Jack Phillips; and sister, Debbie Eggenberg.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Leah, of Durant; children Aaron Phillips, Ali Rowland and husband Jeff, Kati Phillips and fiance Jeff Coleman, and Kasi Farmer and husband Larimie, all of Durant; grandchildren Cam, Landri, Laken, and Bo Rowland, Kove and Maeslea Farmer; and many good friends and co-workers.
Services to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13th, at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel in Durant with Pastor Adam Cantrell officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Attaway, Verne Devore, Terry Riddle, Bob Jones, Phil Jones, Lloyd Wheeler, Bill Brock, and Dennis Naifeh.
