Beulah Marie (Bryant) Phillips was born on October 2, 1943, to Lloyd and Opal Bryant in Durant, Oklahoma. Beulah went to school in Cobb, Oklahoma, and graduated from Durant High School. On December 17, 1960, in Durant, she married the love of her life, Troy Eugene Phillips. She attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University, earning her bachelor’s in education. She spent some time teaching; however, she decided to manage and keep books for the family business. Beulah was of the Baptist faith. She and Troy enjoyed traveling all across the United States. She especially enjoyed Vegas. Beulah also enjoyed her dogs.
Beulah is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Bryant and Opal Pauline (Quarles) Bryant, and her brother, Billy Ray Bryant.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Troy Phillips of the home. Her children: Sheila Long and husband Donnie of Durant, Bud Phillips and wife Julia of Mead, Dina Jones and husband Darrel of Bokchito. Her grandchildren: Mitchell Long of Durant, Dustin Jones and wife Makaylah of Antlers, Jordan Phillips and wife Dakota of Caney, Cody Jones and wife Calli of Bokchito, Jeff Jones and wife Kaitlyn Long of Mead, Tiffany Cacace and husband Derek of Durant, Megan Richardson and husband KC of Durant. Her great-grandchildren: Rylan Tucker, Sadie Jones, Madi Jones, Deliah Jones, Beighlor Jones, Milo Phillips, Xander Richardson, Gabe Richardson, Chloe Cacace.
A celebration of Beulah’s life is set for Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10:00
AM, at Brown’s Durant Chapel with Pastor Jessie West to officiate. Services
are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral Service and cremation.
