Rusty Dale Peterson, 46-year-old resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed from this life on September 28, 2019 in Tulsa. Rusty was born on February 8, 1973 in Guymon, Oklahoma to David Ray Peterson and Linda Sue Howard. Rusty moved to Woodward with his mother and brother in 1980. Rusty was in Junior High when the family, now including his stepdad Stan, moved to Virginia for a short time. This time was followed with numerous moves for Rusty, but he ultimately returned to Oklahoma.
Rusty enjoyed cooking, football, music, and working with his hands. Rusty was baptized as a child at the Shattuck First Christian Church, before he became a member of the SpiritLife Church in Tulsa. Rusty had worked numerous occupations before he joined the SpiritLife Church, afterwards he volunteered in media, the parking team, and the food's pantry team. Rusty was also a part of the CR Worship Team.
Rusty is preceded in death by his father David Ray Peterson, grandmother Evohn Backus, and grandfather Gordon Elmore.
Remembering Rusty are his mother Linda Coats and husband Stan; daughter Jessica Peterson; son Dylan Peterson; brother James Peterson; grandmother Betty Elmore; aunt Connie Ramos; aunt Christy Gall; and a host of loved ones and friends.
A memorial service will be held at the SpiritLife Church in Tulsa, OK on Tuesday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m.
