Leota Iona (Aubert) Peters
August 31, 1918 ~ January 25, 2012

 Leota Iona Aubert Peters was born on August 31, 1918 Norhtwest of Jones, Oklahoma and passed from this life on January 25, 2012 at her home inTuttle, Oklahoma.

Leota married her high school sweetheart, Vergil Peters on August 17, 1937.

Leota is preceded in death by her husband, Vergil Charles Peters: her parents, Vincent Columbus and Ruth Kenneth Aubert: two sisters, Loise Willcox and Lillie Ruth Evanson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Ted Handke, and her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Linda Peters, all of Tuttle as well as her five grandchildren and their spouses: Jeff and Angela Handke of Lenapah, Oklahoma: Ken and Donna Handke of Tuttle, Oklahoma: Sonda and Jeff Wilson of Shenzhen, China: Matt and Jenny Peters of Claramore, Oklahoma: Chuck and Cara Peters of Tuttle, Oklahoma, and 12 great-grandchildren: Emily Handke, Branden Handke, Colten Handke, Dakota Handke, Zach Handke, Elizabeth Paulus and her husband John, Rebecca Handke, Jessie Wilson, Emma Peters, Christopher Peters, Calab Peters, and Connor Peters.
