William Darrell Perry, known affectionately as Bill, was born on October 20, 1968, in Delano, California, and sadly passed away on October 5, 2023, in Durant, Oklahoma. Bill was a man of many talents and virtues, best known for being adventurous, courageous, and incredibly handy. His life was marked by his love for his family, his service to his country, and his passion for the great outdoors.
Bill was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a commitment that showcased his courage and strong sense of duty. His adventurous spirit was evident in his love for riding motorcycles and his fondness for camping. His handy nature shone through in his ability to work on tools and his enjoyment in building things.
Bill is survived by his loving children, daughter Nicole Perry of California, and son Ryan Perry and his wife Britney of Arizona. His memory will also live on in his cherished grandchildren; Matthew Perry, Natalye Perry, Samuel Perry, Paisley Perry, and Brentley Perry. He is also survived by his siblings; Kevin Lopez and his wife Brandy of California, Mike Lopez and his wife Sandy of Nebraska, Darlene Glapenske of California, Christine Glapenske and her husband Robert of California, Larose Pyle and her husband Bob of Redding, California, Cassandra Wanhart, and Vanessa Perry. Bill's numerous nieces and nephews will remember their uncle's adventurous spirit and courageous heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, William D. Perry, his mother, Lorado Lopez, and his stepfather, George Lopez.
Bill's life was one of service, adventure, and love. He served his country with honor, lived his life with courage, and loved his family with all his heart. His adventurous spirit, his handy skills, and his courageous heart will remain as an inspiration to all who knew him. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and in the many lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date by his family and friends.
