Sue Ellen (Crooks) Perry

Sue Ellen (Crooks) Perry
June 28, 1932 ~ November 07, 2020

Sue Perry, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away on November 7, 2020 in Grapevine, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born June 28, 1932 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Alice and Cecil Crooks.

Sue attended Oklahoma State University for two years and was a Business major and was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and later a member of PiPhi Alumnae Clubs in Amarillo and Dallas.

In 1993, Sue married Donald Neuner and they owned, bred, and sold ostriches. Sue loved animals and would often rescue dogs. For as much, as Sue loved animals and Oklahoma State, her greatest passions were traveling and her love for her family. Sue would take her grandchildren on an adventure every summer. She would also travel with her mother for more than 10 years until her Mother was no longer physically able to. Sue was a member of First Christian Church and would often donate to many charities that were close to her heart.

Sue is survived by her daughter Melodie Adlof of Hurst, Texas; her brother Charles Crooks and Angie Crooks from Stillwater, Oklahoma; her three grandchildren Brandon Roberts, Blake Roberts, and Jarrett Adlof; and nephew Chuck Crooks in Cushing Oklahoma; niece Kelly Connelly in Stillwater Oklahoma, and 6 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father Alice and Cecil Crooks; as well as her late husband Donald Neuner; and her two sons.

Due to Covid 19 there will not be a visitation and the family will have a private graveside service on Friday November 13, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The First Christian Church Memorial Fund in Guthrie Oklahoma. Donations can be submitted online at www.fccguthrie.org and click “give online.”
