Marty Louise Perry, 59, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013. Marty was born August 1, 1953 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to Louis Morse Perry and Gladys Louise Beauchamp.
Marty retired in 2004 after a long and varied career. She was a master gardener and master herbalist who was gifted at gardening, cooking, and baking. She also loved arts and crafts, including painting, singing, quilting, and sewing. Marty was fond of animals and enjoyed horseback riding.
Marty was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, Gladys Louise Coppenbarger of Sulphur, Oklahoma; her son, Johnathan Rogers of Tulsa; her brother, Mike Perry and his wife Carol of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; her aunt, Jo Cowin of Lawton, Oklahoma, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Wynnewood. Donations may be made in Marty's memory to Meals on Wheels of Norman.
