Currey Leon Perry a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the age of 72 years 9 months and 16 days. He was born in Wolfe City, Texas to Leon Winston and Edna Mae (Wright) Perry on Sunday, April 20, 1941. Currey married Joyce in Lubbock, Texas on Saturday, March 9, 1968.
Currey was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. He liked to work word puzzles and paint. Currey was a man who loved to fish, and did so whenever possible; he even played fishing video games when he was unable to go to the fishing pond any more.
Mr. Perry is survived by his wife, Joyce Perry of the home; sons, David Perry and Carla Trail of Durant, Oklahoma and Daniel Perry and Tanya Stephensen of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ryan, Brittney, Danielle, Kayla and Madison; daughter, Kimberly Perry of North Carolina; sister, Joyce Collinsworth of Bonham, Texas; brother, Billy Perry of Bonham, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Edna May Perry; sister, Merle Givins.
Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday February 11th at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral home chapel.
