Charles Donald Perry

Charles Donald Perry
April 22, 1950 ~ March 27, 2024

Today, as we gather to honor and celebrate the life of Charles Donald Perry, we are reminded of the profound impact he had on each and every one of us. Charles, born on April 22nd, 1950, embarked on his final journey on March 27th, 2024, at 18:55 in the evening. While our hearts ache with his passing, we find solace in the cherished memories he leaves behind and the love he shared with us all.

Survived by his devoted wife, Charlotte Perry, his daughters Charlet, Caitlin and Melesa, his son James, his sisters Pat and Alice, along with his nephew Justin and niece Kim, Charles was the cornerstone of his family. His sister Bonnie, though preceding him in death, undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms on his journey to the next life.

Charles was more than just a Vietnam Veteran of the 173rd Airborne Brigade; he was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. His love and devotion knew no bounds, and his presence illuminated the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether he was sharing stories of his time in the service or imparting his wisdom upon his children and grandchildren, Charles's legacy will continue to inspire us for generations to come.

Beyond his roles within the family, Charles was a man of many passions. He found joy in the simplicity of life, whether it was hunting in the great outdoors, casting his line into the water in search of the perfect catch, or meticulously crafting leather goods with his skilled hands. His culinary talents were unmatched, and his family will forever cherish the memories of gathering around the table to enjoy his delicious meals.

As we bid farewell to our beloved Charles, let us take comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on in our hearts forever. May we honor his memory by embracing life with the same zest and passion that he did, and by cherishing the moments we share with our loved ones.

Rest in peace, dear Charles. You will be deeply missed, but your love and light will continue to guide us through the darkest of days.
