May 06, 1947 ~ September 28, 2020

Elverett Lee Permenter of Spiro, Oklahoma, was born May 6, 1947 in Spiro, Oklahoma to Monroe and Ruth (Barnes) Permenter, and passed away September 28, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 73.

He is survived by his wife Debbie; three daughters, Brandi Fout and husband Mike, Kim Atchison and Philimon, Stacey Adkins and husband Keenan; grandchildren, Karissa and Donata, Kaysha, Kaziah, Trent, Brooklyn, Kayla, Brandon, Ashton, Ethan; great granddaughter, Violet, and numerous other relatives and loved ones.

Elverett was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Leon, and his sisters, Helen and Karen. He was retired from the United States Navy serving in Vietnam, retired from Kansas City Southern Railroad, and loved to hunt and fish.

Graveside services will be 12:00 pm Friday, October 2, 2020 at the United States National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Services are under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.

Viewing will be Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 9:00 am – 7:00pm at the funeral home.
