Jimmie Don "Jim" Perkins, 62, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 surrounded by his family after a long battle with lung disease.
Jim was born July 20, 1944 in Chickasha, OK. He retired in 2004 after 30 years in the telecommunications industry. His passion in life was his wife, children, grandchildren and his love of sports especially the game of golf. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Evelyn Perkins and his brother, J.O. Perkins.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Charlotte Perkins; 2 children, Matt Perkins and wife Carol, Janna Leick and husband Mike; 5 grandchildren, Jordon, Laura, and Emily Perkins, Brandon and Cameron Leick; 1 brother, Charles Perkins and wife Frances; sister-in-law, Loretta Perkins; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Cliff Carroll; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 1 pm Tuesday, July 3 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association or American Heart Association.
