David Lee Perin was born on January 16, 1935 in Seligman, AZ to Milton
and Sarah (Brainard) Perin. He died on November 11, 2013 at his home in
Lawton with his wife Judith at his side.
David was raised and attended school in Oregon. He quit school at the
age of 14 to work on a farm and then as a meat cutter at a bakery to
help his family through hard times.
He enlisted in the US Army in February of 1953 and served in Korea prior to his Honorable Discharge in 1956. While serving his country, David received the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and United Nations Service Medal.
He returned to the Northwest after the service and worked in the logging industry and construction. David married Judith (Galbraith) on October 29, 1977 in Las Vegas, NV. They spent the next 22 years traveling from East Coast to West Coast, and many areas in between, working construction. He enjoyed almost everything he did and made it a fun project. He retired in 1999 and enjoyed fishing and being a good neighbor to most of the people near his home. At the time of his death, many of these friends gathered at his house to express their condolences to Judith and to console each other at his loss. David was a member of VFW Post 5263 here in Lawton.
Survivors include his wife Judith of the home; a brother, Bill Perin and wife Mary of Salem, OR; a large extended family and many close friends.
