Andrew (Andy) Peoples passed away December 14, 2009 at Midwest Regional Medical Center at Midwest City, Oklahoma. He was born on February 25, 1938 in Bristow, Oklahoma, the son of Johnnie Richard Peoples, Sr. and Gladys Rosie Oleatha Wynn Peoples.
Andy graduated from Dunjee High School and then joined the service of the United States Air Force. At an early age he joined church at Greater Cleaves Memorial CME Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Andy loved working in his yard and flower gardens. He enjoyed making furniture and working with his hands. He liked cooking and especially liked to barbecue. He was always willing to help whenever he was needed.
After being away from Oklahoma for more than 50 years, he moved back to Oklahoma in December of 2005.
He married Colynn L. Beard Bass on February 1, 1991 at Topeka, Kansas, she survives.
Also to mourn his passing are: Terrence L. Peoples of Sedalia, Missouri, Shauna M. Peoples Morris and Monnica D. Peoples Williams (Eddie Jr.) of Wichita, Kansas; Richard A. Bass of McKinney, Texas and Rahn J. Bass (JoAnne) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sisters: Troja Peoples and Elvin Osborne (John) Spencer, Oklahoma and Rosie Williams (Jessie) Glendale, Arizona; brothers: Levorn Peoples (Hattie) Spencer, Oklahoma, Robert Peoples (Maudelene) Weatherford, Texas and Clifford Peoples (Evelyn) Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces and nephews that loved their uncle Andy.
