Cinda Lu (Stowe) Pekrul

Cinda Lu (Stowe) Pekrul
March 16, 1954 ~ February 18, 2020 (age 65)

Cinda Lu Pekrul entered her Heavenly home on February 18, 2020.

She was born March 16, 1954 in Chickasha, OK to David R. Stowe and Helen F. Stowe (Githens). Cinda graduated from Western Heights High School in Oklahoma City. She married the love of her life, Steven L. Pekrul, on February 2, 1973.

After high school, Cinda worked in the banking industry and continued to do this until she and Steven began their family. Cinda stayed at home for several years after that, loving and raising their three beautiful daughters. Years later, she pursued a career in Office Management in the medical industry. Cinda’s pride and joy was her family. She adored her grandchildren and actively participated in anything they were doing. In addition, Cinda was an amazing chef. She found joy in traveling all around to experience new foods and restaurants. She was also an avid fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Cinda was a devoted Christian and led her life with a servant’s heart. She was known as “Nana” to many, loving and caring for so many children and young adults as her own. She proudly embraced this roll and felt blessed because of it. In addition, Cinda was an amazing wife and mother who will be missed immensely.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, David and Helen Stowe; and brother, Kenneth Stowe.

Those left to continue her legacy include her loving husband, Steven L. Pekrul; daughters, Kari Cotton and husband Adam, Kasey Nunn and husband JR, and Kandice Griffith and husband dale; grandchildren, Maddox and Cash Cotton, Isabella and Hunter Nunn, Kaylie Birdsong and husband Tommy, and Lorisa Griffith; great-grandchildren, Irie and Isabelle Birdsong; sister, Davalene Stubbs and husband Nick; sister-in-law, Lafreda Stowe; and sister-in-law, Judy Condron. Cinda is also survived by a host of loving extended family and friends.

A memorial service to honor Cinda's life will take place at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Oakcrest Church of Christ, 1111 SW 89th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73139.
