On Saturday, January 30th, 2021 John Peek, loving husband and father of two passed away surrounded by family at age 74. John was born February 5th, 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa.
He moved to Oklahoma years later and worked for the city. He served in the U.S. Army at age 17 with a tour in Germany. He received his bachelor’s degree in computer science and worked self-employed for many years before working for the city of Oklahoma for 20+ years. And part time for the state national guard reserves.
On August 2nd, 1969 he married the love of his life Donna K. Peek. They raised two children, a son Sean Peek and a daughter Lori Baker.
John was preceded in death by his mother Pearl Orr, brother Paul Orr and his sister Meredith Burks.
He is survived by his wife Donna Peek, his children Sean Peek and Lori Baker and her husband Joseph Baker, his brothers Eddie and Larry Orr, sister Merdina Orr and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Ford Funeral Service in the Candlewood Chapel.
