Florence Olive (Baylis) Peck
March 4, 1928 ~ July 25, 2021

Florence Peck, 93 year old Mooreland resident, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 in Mooreland. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Mooreland with Reverend Brian Spade officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Greensburg, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Florence Olive (Baylis) Peck was born March 4, 1928 in the Forest Gate area of London, England to John and Anne (Critchfield) Baylis. Florence lived in London, England until the age of 16 when she moved to Chalbury, England. She moved to Kansas when she was 19 years of age. Florence was united in marriage to Robert Peck on March 9, 1952 at the farm home of Ellis and Nettie Peck in Greensburg, Kansas. They made their home in Greensburg, Kansas until Robert passed away in 2010. She then moved to Mooreland to live with her daughter Brenda and she has lived there since that time.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Florence enjoyed birds, flowers, ice cream, dogs, the Lawrence Welk show, but most of all she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting and gardening.

She is survived by her daughters: Jennifer Peck, Brenda Starr and husband Bob; six grandchildren: Timothy Crowley, Venus Covey, John Starr, Teresa Starr, Cody Starr and Danielle Lay; 14 great-grandchildren: Kris, Dalton, Alex, Xander, Madison, Austin, Gage, Blake, Serenity, Liberty, Dennis, Fitz, Jordyn, and Isaiah; six great-great-grandchildren: Aiden, Anberlin, Eleanor, Benson, Iris, and Ivy; sister-in-law, Neva Chastain; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anne Baylis, her husband Robert Peck, brother and sisters, Lillian, Josephine, Angela, Maureen, and John, granddaughter Samantha and great-great-granddaughter, Violet.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mooreland with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
