A private family service will be held for Claudia Jean Pearman of Thackerville, OK on Sunday morning with Robert Schaffer officiating. The family would like to encourage the extended family members and friends to view her service on the Thackerville Community Church Facebook Page at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Marietta, OK.
Claudia was born on May 11, 1938, in Thackerville, Oklahoma, to Claud and Velester (Orr) Cain. She passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 81.
Claudia spent most of her life in Thackerville. She was a graduate of the Class of 1958 from Thackerville High School and was a member of the FFA Band. Claudia married the love of her life Carl “Dean” Pearman on June 5, 1959, in Thackerville. This June would have been their 61st wedding anniversary. She was a beautician for more than 15 years and a faithful member of the Thackerville Community Church. Some of her interests include attending ALL of the Wildcat sporting events because she was their biggest fan and in her spare time, she played games at the Senior Citizens Center with all the ladies. A passion of Claudia’s was spreading the word of God and talking about Jesus with anyone she encountered. Family was a valuable part of Claudia’s life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially Ava, the oldest great-granddaughter and all the great-grandkids.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by son, Bobby Dean Pearman; sister, Carol Shankles; nephew, Jeff Bone; infant nephews, Stacy and Tracy Cain, In-Laws, Gordon and Willie Pearman; sisters-in-law, June Enderby, Eva Ruth Pearman, and Rowena Cain; and brothers-in-law, Dale Pearman, Jerry Bone, and Bill Shankles.
Survivors include her husband, Dean of the home; daughters, Melodie Schaffer and husband Dean of Thackerville and Sharon Ross of Thackerville; grandchildren, Robert Schaffer and wife Ember of Thackerville, Alysa Schaffer Curbow and husband Ryan of Thackerville, Steven Hard and Laura Robledo of Thackerville, and Meghan Pooler and husband Josh of Thackerville; great-grandchildren, Ava and Conner Curbow, Zane and Roman Schaffer, Lucas and Ella Hard, Skylar, Cooper, Oliver Pooler; brothers, Richard Cain and wife Connie of Ardmore, Harrell Cain and wife Peggy of Forestburg, TX, and Darrell “Dugan” Cain and wife Janie of Marietta; sisters, Geraldine “Gerri” Shurbet and husband Delmar of Marietta and Terri Bone of Marietta; and brother-in-law, Don Pearman and wife Pam of Thackerville.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Richard Cain, Harrell Cain, and Darrell “Dugan” Cain.
Family suggest no memorial contributions, instead give your life to Jesus because that is what she would have wanted.
