Billy Lee "Bill" Patty was born August 26, 1930 in Post, Texas and went home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2016. Bill was the last of four children born to Homa Lee and Clemmie E. Patty and grew up in Post, graduating from Post High in 1948.
Bill entered Texas Tech, took time off to serve in the Army and graduated from Tech in 1957. While in the Army Bill was introduced to the love of his life and soulmate, Delores Runkles. The two wed on November 27, 1952.
Upon graduation from Tech, Bill took a job with Ralston Purina and moved to North Carolina. Five years and two children later, he left North Carolina to return to family and his home state of Texas.
Bill took a job with Anderson Clayton Companies and in 1973 was moved to Oklahoma City. He subsequently worked for a number of companies as a Salesman of multi wall bags and retired in Yukon, OK in 1992.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas and James and sister, Rea.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; sons, Roger Patty and Greg Patty & wife Patricia; grandchildren, Justin, Michael and Christy; great grandchildren, Jakob, Haley and Hanna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 8 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, Bethany, OK. Services will be held Friday, June 10 at 1:00 p.m., at Justice Mason Funeral Home, Post TX with interment in Terrace Cemetery, Post, TX.
